DonorsChoose

Many schoolchildren from low-income communities do not have the books, art supplies, science equipment, or other materials that they need to learn. If you are a public school teacher, DonorsChoose invites you to propose an activity or resource for your students.

Kappa Delta Pi

Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, is committed to recognizing excellence and fostering mutual cooperation, support, and professional growth for educational professionals. As part of its ongoing dedication to educators, the Society offers: workshops and conferences; books, journals, and other publications; scholarships and grants; community service projects; a teachers hotline; employment resources; professional development; and other resources.

Browse the Responsive Classroom® website for a rich assortment of resources for K-6 teachers, including an article library, teacher questions & answers, workshops, a free quarterly newsletter, a bookstore, and more. Responsive Classroom® Newsletter is a free, quarterly newsletter that shares concrete strategies and helpful resources for interweaving the teaching of social and academic skills in any classroom, K-6.

RISE Network

TeachersCount partners with the RISE (Resources for Indispensable Schools and Educators) Professional Network to recognize and reward outstanding public school teachers serving low-income communities. Teachers accepted to the RISE Network have free access to career opportunities at pre-screened public schools dedicated to teacher support and/or financial resources. Teachers with at least one full-time year of experience in a low-income public school and the ability to demonstrate that their students moved ahead one year of academic growth per year of instruction should apply to become a RISE Teacher at www.RISE network.org.

Teacher Leaders Network

The Teacher Leaders Network (TLN) uses virtual conferencing and other Internet tools to support a national network of accomplished teacher leaders. TLN makes it possible for teachers in any school or district to learn from one another and expand their collective knowledge of teaching, learning, and leadership for change. “The Network” also draws on the expertise of highly skilled teacher leaders, including National Board Certified Teachers, to demonstrate and publicize to policymakers, practitioners and the public what accomplished teachers know and can do. TLN is supported by the Center for Teaching Quality, but its true owners are the educators who take advantage of this opportunity to develop their own leadership skills and influence education policy.

Teachers Network

Teachers Network is a nationwide, educational non-profit organization that identifies and connects innovative teachers who exemplify professionalism, independence, and creativity in the classroom. Over 40,000 public school teachers have received Teachers Network grants and fellowships in the areas of curriculum, leadership, policy, and new media.

TheApple

TheApple brings members of the education community together to support and advance the profession. TheApple provides resources to promote careers in education, while fostering a community with exclusive benefits where information about the education community is provided to the education community by the community itself.
