TeachersCount - June Blog Topic and TeachersTopic
New York, NY – May 31, 2012 – TeachersCount invites you to continue following and participating in the insightful blog series. TeachersCount is in need of your support towards making this monthly blog a unified and representative voice of all teachers nationally. Each month our bloggers explore different topics. June’s blog topic asks, What is the future of the teaching profession?. With a lack of teaching jobs and a misdistribution of qualified teachers, what can we expect for the future? Educators will be asked to share their opinions on this topic.
We have also posed this question to four young teachers in our new TeachersTopic feature. These four bright, competent educators will share their opinions on the future of the teaching profession and discuss issues including job shortage, recruitment and retention, and teacher evaluations. At a time when the teaching profession is being challenged, it is important to hear from the individuals who are still choosing to become educators, because they ARE the future.
TeachersCount is a national non-profit dedicated to raising the status of the teaching profession and providing free resources to the education community. By using a national campaign and related initiatives TeachersCount works to create a permanent culture of teacher appreciation in the United States. TeachersCount offers services that are tailored to the teaching profession, including up-to-date information about teaching awards and competitions, conference listings and a variety of unique programs designed to aid teachers both inside and outside the classroom.
