400,000 Back-to-School Posters Distributed
The latest edition of our “Behind Every Famous Person is a Fabulous Teacher” posters were distributed by Scholastic as teachers returned to school
in September. There are 100,00 posters each of actress Edie Falco with teacher Mr. Sandy Valerio, and singer Carrie Underwood with mother, Carole
Underwood, who taught for twenty-five years and two sisters, Stephanie Shelton and Shanna Means, who currently teach. We are also carrying posters of MLS star
and current Chicago Fire forward
Brian McBride with teacher Mr. John Erfort, and actress and singer Vanessa Williams with
mother, teacher Ms. Helen Williams. This back-to-school distribution is double the number of posters that TeachersCount sent out last fall, and makes a total
of 800, 000 posters sent out this year.
Free Posters Available
We have some posters available from the latest edition of our “Behind Every Famous Person is a Fabulous Teacher” campaign. You can view the posters

Katrina Destroys Teachers Lounge, Help us Rebuild!
TeachersCount has partnered with Kappa Delta
Pi, international honor society in education and the
National PTA on an exciting new project to renovate teachers’ lounges across the country. The first lounge to receive a makeover is at

service organizations. We are looking to raise $2,500 for to complete the project. Donate here or visit our The Point account and become a member of our
"Teacher Lounge Makeover" campaign.
